Eric E. Alt
Managing Director & Co-Director of Research

Eric Alt is a Managing Director, Co-Director of Research, and Head of the Absolute Return group which covers credit, distressed, and absolute return investments. He is also a member of the Firm's Investment Review Committee.

Prior to joining the firm in 2006, Mr. Alt spent four years as a Managing Director in convertible securities at Piper Jaffray & Co. in San Francisco. Previously, he worked for Robertson Stephens, most recently as a Managing Director in the convertible securities department. While at Piper Jaffray & Co. and Robertson Stephens, Mr. Altwas involved in over 100 convertible new issue and restructuring transactions. Prior to joining Robertson Stephens in 1997, Mr. Alt was a principal in an entrepreneurial venture and also worked at Kluge & Company, a private investment firm, where he focused on venture investments. He started his career in 1989 at Arthur Andersen & Co. in Dallas as a Certified Public Accountant in the firm's Real Estate Advisory Group.

Mr. Alt graduated summa cum laude from The University of Texas at Austin with a B.B.A. in Accounting and earned an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania.
