Hall Capital Partners Appoints John Buoymaster to Chairman, Sarah Stein to President
SAN FRANCISCO, CA - January 05, 2012– Hall Capital Partners LLC, an independent investment advisor that manages multi-asset class investment portfolios and oversees approximately $22 billion in assets, is pleased to announce that John W. Buoymaster and Sarah E. Stein have been appointed to chairman and president, respectively.

Hall, who will continue in her role as chief executive officer and chief investment officer of Hall Capital Partners. “We believe that reinvesting in the firm will continue to strengthen the company overall and position Hall Capital for continued growth in the future.”
As chairman, Mr. Buoymaster, who served as Hall Capital’s president since 2009, will continue to have direct portfolio management and relationship responsibility for a number of the firm's clients. Mr. Buoymaster will also assume additional responsibilities as they relate to new business and firm management, as well as joining the Portfolio Review Committee. He remains a member of the firm's Board of Directors, Executive Committee, and Investment Review Committee.

In her role as president, Ms. Stein, who previously served as managing director, co-director of research, and head of capital markets, will now oversee several groups within the firm, including Business Development, IT, and Strategy, Finance and Funds. In addition to her responsibilities as president, Ms. Stein will remain a member of the firm's Executive Committee and Investment Review Committee. Ms. Stein was recently named one of Foundation & Endowment Money Management's (an Institutional Investor publication) 2011 Rising Stars.
Eric E. Alt, previously managing director and co-director of research, will now be the sole director of the Research Group and remains head of absolute return. Mr. Alt was recently named one of Institutional Investor's 2011 Rising Stars of Hedge Funds. Simon C. Krinsky and Kurt D. Rieke will continue as co-heads of portfolio management.
Additionally, Charles (“Chuck”) A. Kurz has been appointed director of strategy, finance and funds; Chuck was previously principal, responsible for management of the Client Services Group, portfolio reporting, and investment strategy implementation. Chuck’s previous duties will be re-allocated to senior members of the Client Services Group.
Richard L. Grand-Jean will continue as managing director, head of business development. Helane L. Morrison will continue as managing director, general counsel, and chief compliance officer. Edward B. Patron will continue as principal, managing the IT Group. Winnie L. Chiang will continue as vice president of finance. Promit Bhattacharya will continue as vice president of pooled vehicles administration.
